Many people over 50 think about all the possessions they own, and what they are going to do with them when they decide to downsize. Only the brave are willing to tackle the inventory they own when they are double nickels (55). The rest of us will wait until something drastic happens to face this chore.
There have been times over the last few years that I started to make lists of all my jewelry, handbags, and shoes because I was forgetting to wear a lot of what I owned. I would spend hours taking inventory only to forget where I placed the list at the end of the day.
I was determined to start a list again because I am trying to make room for my favorite things and perhaps sell the rest over time. Then a friend of mine told me about an app that helps you keep track of everything you own.
I couldn’t believe that an app developer recognized this challenge and developed a software program called Inventory Android that would make this task a fun one. The app allows you to not only list details about your items, like brand and price, but you can also include photos. The app can read bar codes, so you can quickly find entries in the database for books, DVDs, and games.
An app of this nature is also perfect in case of theft or some other disaster. In time of need, you have everything you need for an insurance claim.
I can’t wait for this app to be developed for my iPhone. I am really anxious to have everything listed in one place and I will update it frequently. I want more control over my life, and having everything listed liberates me to make more intelligent decisions about finances, travel, shelter, and necessities. Maybe I won’t be so impulsive in the future about having to buy every thing I see.

hope iphone gets this sooner than later!
