One of the leading forces in the world of art celebrated her 50th birthday Wednesday night with 50 of her closest friends. Kathryn Mikesell and her husband Dan, co-founders of Fountainhead Residency, put this party together in less than 24 hours. I didn’t get to photograph everyone because people who love art like to talk, and I did my fair share of it. One quote that will stick with me for a long time came from one of the most well known and respected gallerists in Miami, Mindy Solomon. “Serious collectors are buying art in Miami.
