The cartoon above was meant as a joke, but as far as I am concerned that is exactly the direction we are headed. Technology today allows users to share info with others more than ever before. Every company and service wants in on the action.
Everyone is adding a “share” component to their business as a “wow” factor. Like every other fad, this too will become old fast. In the meantime, we witness the extremes.

This is so true – but over-sharing has always been a problem. Long before social media existed, I asked a new father if he had a picture, yet. He handed me a stack of delivery room photos. OMG!! I never had kids and I really didn’t want to know that much about the delivery process – and I was particularly embarrassed that he’d handed them to me just as a church service started!
I laughed out loud when I read this. So true.
