The story I am about to tell you is so crazy that you won’t believe me. You can check it out by Googling “China plans to launch an artificial moon in the sky.”
That’s right. China wants an artificial moon, that is so bright, they won’t need streetlights. It will be eight times as bright as the real one. The city slated for this new concept is Chengdu.
The satellite, (the moon), will be able to light an area between six to 50 miles. It could save the city up to $240 million in annual electricity costs.
Not everyone in Chengdu is happy about the artificial light slated to be installed in 2020. Lots of folks are questioning what impact the artificial light will have on wildlife.

Lunacy!
Fascinating. It”s a new world I tell ya.
That city may quickly become ‘the city that never sleeps’, since it is a well known fact that we humans need to have at least some dark in order to have a sound sleep. This is insane!
