At some point in the future you might be looking at robots as members of a band, or an orchestra. It’s even possible you might be attending a concert whose headliner is a robot.
Researchers at Georgia Tech are working on a robot that promises to be a brilliant composer and musician.
Dr. Gil Weinberg, the director of the Georgia Tech Center for Music Technology, created a robot called Shimon. Now 10 years later, the robot musician can compose and play music on its own. Dr. Weinberg can’t wait for the day to see his robots collaborate with humans.
