IT’S A DOG’S LIFE

Meg Sahdala has devoted her working life to rescuing animals. Lois Whitman-Hess and Steve Greenberg aren’t “going to the dogs,” instead they are talking to Meg during this edition of “Lying On The Beach On Camera” (LOBOC).

Meg’s beautiful daughter is now pre-teen

Meg’s story is an unusual one. While working for EB Brands – a niche accessories company— Meg started her own animal related company named DOG CLOTHES AVENUE.

Back in 2014, Meg made a bold move and opened a non-profit charity called MIAMI ANIMAL RESCUE, established to rescue abandoned pets in South Florida.

Six years later, Miami Animal Rescue is one of the largest Florida rescues with a newly opened shelter branch in Colorado last year.

Miami Animal Rescue (www.MiamiAnimalRescue.org) has saved thousands of animals — and has received many honors and awards.

Why We Urgently Need A National COVID-19 Antibody Test Roll-Out Now

Call or write to your local congressmen, mayors and governors to demand the antibody tests now. Help save lives and jobs.

Antibody testing is all about finding out who has had the virus and who is now immune to another infection (at least for a few months— maybe much longer).  This information would allow millions of Americans folks to get back to work and/or fight the virus on the frontlines.

Steve Greenberg and Lois Whitman-Hess, co-hosts of “Lying on the Beach,” interviewed Dr. Susan Malinowski, a Vitreoretinal Surgeon, on this topic because she just published an opinion piece on why the Federal Government needs to immediately roll-out a National COVID-19 Antibody Test.

You can find it on the Medium website – Eight Ways to Smash, not Just Flatten, the Coronavirus Curve

Dr. Malinowski is an inventor and partner in Retina Consultants of Michigan. She does research, writes, and lectures worldwide on new treatments for blinding retinal illnesses. She is also a patent holder and inventor of the Rollababy (a combination stroller/ suitcase), Pre-stick (a caliper that eases pain during intraocular injections), and an instrument used to deliver medications under the Retina during retinal surgery.

Retinal work is all about dealing with infections. In fact, retina doctors were among the first to identify COVID-19.

What You Need to Know About Miami’s Art Basel

A “Lying on the Beach” podcast

This is one of the most exciting weeks for art lovers in the United States. Artists, collectors, gallerists, writers, photographers, and so on, are all flocking to Miami for Art Basel, the most extensive art fair in the country with over 200 of the world’s leading international modern and contemporary art galleries displaying the works of over 4,000 artists. In addition to Art Basel, there are countless satellite exhibits all over Miami where you can find young artists to museum-caliber masterpieces.

We are very excited to have one of the major art forces in Miami, on ”Lying in the Beach,” who is going to tell us more about Miami Art Week. Kathryn Mikesell, and her husband Dan, are co-founders of Fountainhead Residency, an artistic home away from home in Miami where artists get the opportunity to create and connect with other artistic talent from around the world.

Fountainhead has hosted over 390 artists from more than 45 countries. After 12 years of existence, Fountainhead is thrilled that over 100 of its alumni are now exhibiting in Miami Art Week.

Welcome Kathryn to “Lying on the Beach.”

Lying on the Beach Podcast Interviews Robin Raskin

There should be a statue of Robin Raskin in front of the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas with an inscription that says “She turned this arena into a global stage for the introduction of some of the most innovative products in the world.”

As founder of the company “Living In Digital Times,” Robin solicited early stage companies to exhibit their remarkable inventions in this section of CES. She grouped them in sensible product categories for their debut: Digital Health, Digital Money, Fitness Tech, Baby Tech, Family Tech, Transforming EDU, MommyTech TV, Beauty Tech, and Wearables.

Each area had their own summit plus events. These companies also take part in other events during the week of CES including a FashionWare runway show, Mobile Apps Showdown, Last Gadget Standing, Robots on the Runway and the KAPi Awards.

In this episode of “Lying on the Beach” with TV personality Steve Greenberg and PR expert Lois Whitman-Hess, Robin explains how she manages to be at the forefront of technology all the time.

Irresponsible Out-Of-The-Office Email Replies

Lying On The Beach Podcast

If you want to drive a busy person crazy, just post an out-of-the office email reply that you are on vacation for the week, and then you don’t delete it for many days after you return to work. It happens all the time. Many workers hide behind the out-of-the-office replies because they want to take advantage of this common business practice. TV personality Steve Greenberg and PR expert Lois Whitman-Hess discuss the culprits and why they shouldn’t be working in the digital age.
