Why We Need Kabbalah Now More Than Ever

TV personality Steve Greenberg and PR Expert Lois Whitman-Hess, co-hosts of “Lying on the Beach,” had the great pleasure of interviewing one of the most knowledgeable teachers of Kabbalistic Spirituality for their podcast.

Rabbi Marc Philippe is a cantor, musician, composer, and conductor at Temple Emanu-El in Miami Beach. He is the founder of the Jewish Symphony in Boca Raton.

The Rabbi is a practitioner of Jewish meditation. He is the founder of the Kodesh House, a Jewish Spiritual Center in Miami,  where sessions, classes, retreats and Seminars are offered in Kabbalistic Spirituality, Jewish meditation and alternative healing.

Rabbi Marc Philippe is also a certified hypnotist and is particularly interested in past-life regressions.

He and his wife Valerie host large monthly Shabbat dinners at their home and in a wide variety of venues throughout Miami.

Eliot and I see a lot of plays this way and we enjoy ourselves immensely. The popcorn is good too. Andrew Scott was amazing.

MURDER IN FAIRFIELD COUNTY

Eight months after Jennifer Farber disappeared, her estranged husband, Fotis Dulos, was charged with her murder. Soon he was dead.

That’s Me

Our Friend, Alex Nunez

We had a great Friday morning. Eliot and I visited the studio of Alex Nuñez, a multi-talented artist who paints, creates digital compositions, shoots and edits photo and video essays, and mixes music. If there is medium that allows you express yourself, Alex does it.

Her paintings are entirely spontaneous. We are very attracted to her free-form abstract markings that are underscored by splashes of bold, vibrant colors. If you look close enough, you can find a series of hidden references drawn from pop culture. Internet memes, song lyrics, tabloid fodder, and subliminal messages. Her creations are filled with surprises and provide lots of exciting vibes.

Apologize Lizzie

https://youtu.be/iXcVVHDgpjw

Lizzie, I find it offensive that you would compare Mayor Bloomberg to Trump. I’m asking you to apologize. You are exaggerating and desperate.

Dangerous Donald

Debates are supposed to be about the issues. The antagonist performance of Bernie, Amy, and EW toward Bloomberg is just more votes for what we are suffering with now. Bloomberg is a saint compared to this.

No Regrets

It was an absolute horror. A car fell off a Fisher Island Ferry in Miami yesterday, and into Biscayne Bay, around 5pm. Eliot looked out our windows and noticed that several coast guard boats were making a circle around a certain area of the bay and helicopters were hovering over the same point.

It didn’t take very long for our cell phones to start beeping with alerts about the tragedy. It was heartbreaking. This is a classic example of yet another accident that never should have taken place.

We don’t know yet what truly took place. (Watch the videos). However, I do feel that most people would have bet that this kind of accident never could have happened. I am so tired of people thinking we are all safe because someone of so-called authority took the right measures to protect us from potential disasters.

The next time you see something that you think is not as safe as it should be, speak up and get others to support you. There is just too many human errors these days. The barriers on the Fisher Island ferries always looked a little flimsy to me. We should have made more of a fuss about them. We regret that now.”

Two Opposite Trump Views

But before we get to the comments, I wanted to share the following with you.

When I woke up this morning I received this email from a very good friend. He is a respected advertising executive who has taken a keen interest in politics. He is usually a happy-go-lucky fella. Today he wasn’t so happy. I feel his sentiments are shared by many of us.

He said,

“While watching the morning news programs today, I was struck by the similarity with the Al Franken debacle of several years ago. For some reason, the Democrats have a dangerous tendency to shoot themselves in the foot.

“All the discussion focused on Bloomberg and the things he did wrong before and during his TWELVE years as mayor. Here we have a President who is destroying our country. He says disgusting things on a daily basis and admitted, on video, to doing unspeakable things to women. Yet the Democrats seem to be more interested in destroying themselves.

“What the hell is going on???”

Your thoughts??

A few days ago I asked DigiDame viewers to give me their opinion about Lt. Colonel Vindman’s dismissal.

Here are two complete opposite comments.

First the Question.

Do you support the retaliation against Lt. Colonel Vindman, a decorated soldier who legally obeyed a subpoena for his testimony and told, under oath, his version under of the events of the phone call between Trump and President Zelensky of Ukraine?

Comments

Patriots For Trump

Yes, I support President Trump’s action to fire the Vindman brothers, holdovers from the Obama administration, who were appointed, not voted, to their positions on the National Security Council. It is clear that Vindman conspired with Eric Ciarmella, the unnamed whistleblower, and several other Obama-Biden holdovers to scheme to come up with a Ukraine plot to impeach Trump. Trump should have cleaned house several years ago and appointed vetted candidates who he could trust to the critical National Security Council. The ongoing investigations by Attorney General Barr and Senator Lindsay Graham will prove the depth and extent of the conspiracy to remove Trump from the office that he was duly elected to.

And while I’m at it, when will you and your fellow Jews finally recognize what Trump has done in support of Israel and the horrible anti-Semitic acts and hate speech including Democrat elected US congresswomen and men! Why aren’t you outraged about those things and show it in your writings. As I previously stated, Trump has done more for Israel and the Jewish people than just about all previous presidents combined going back to Eisenhower. Trump’s popularity in Israel is incredible. You should talk to some of your friends there if you don’t believe it!

And finally, I bet that you & Eliot and your blog readership enjoy looking at the balances of your brokerage, IRA and 401K accounts. That appreciation never occurred under Obama and would absolutely never occurred under a Hillary administration. When are you and your fellow Dems going to wake up!

NOTHING about this administration is acceptable. I cannot even accept that a person like the man who is our president right now is acceptable in the White House. And what is also unacceptable is that WE THE PEOPLE do not have a say in any of this right now……at least not until election day. So we have to vote this horrible person OUT AND THEN LOCK HIM UP. He is a dangerous person. Of course what he did to Lt. Col. Vindman is not acceptable…….but this president seems to have the power to do whatever he wants, whenever he wants, however he wants!!!!!! Be scared people for the future of our children and grandchildren. This is how Hitler started……right now Trump has so much freedom to do whatever he wants to do… And we have to depend on the Senate to do the right things for WE THE PEOPLE….but the Republicans are scared to death of Trump……they are afraid that the same thing will happen to them and they will be walked out of the house…..cowards!!!!!

I don’t think any Democrat believes that what Trump did to Lt. Col. Vindman is acceptable……remember how many other good people that were assisting him were thrown out of the White House. Having to even have this discussion is unacceptable….but thank you Lois for giving THE PEOPLE a platform to vent……in order to save the U.S. We have to vote Trump OUT!!!

A NYC Subway Story

I met Brooke Wanser, January, 2017, in Las Vegas, during the CES Show. She was a reporter for the Las Vegas Review Journal and was assigned to write a story about me attending CES for 50 years.

I liked her immediately. We sat and talked after the interview. She was raised in Southern California, was living in Vegas at the time, and now is in Tennessee. I just saw her series of tweets on Twitter and was curious if you had a response to her NYC subway story.
